Earth Retention Systems

Earth retention is a significant factor in any project because any remediation requires time and money. Also, there is always the potential for earth movement before the project is completed. Our earth shoring systems involve retaining soil that is prone to unstable flow due to excavation or existing structures. Common uses include:

  • Excavation support
  • To shore up existing structures
  • Stabilization of natural or man-made slopes
  • Bulkhead support and remediation

The design and construction of an earth anchor is often complex due to the soil structure, depth of the groundwater, weather, superimposed loads, seismic loads, and adjacent construction. We design practical and economical earth retention systems for any structure or any conditions:

Tieback Anchors – Our Magnacore Self-Drilling Anchors combine drilling, placing, and grouting into one step. The AB Chance Helical Tieback System has helical bearing plates welded to a central steel shaft. The load is transferred from the shaft to the soil through these bearing plates.

Soil Nailing – Using hollow, threaded steel rods, we can stabilize slopes and structures at shallow or deep depths.

Ground Screw – Earth screws consist of a helical end-bearing plate that is welded to a central steel shaft. This acts as a large-scale “earth screw” that is drilled into lateral walls for permanent support.

Intech Anchoring has full engineering capabilities to design the most practical and economical soil retention system for your geotechnical conditions.

Intech Anchoring is an amazing company built and run by incredibly down-to-earth people that will make you feel like family from the get-go. My two favorite guys, Bill and Cris. They both work extremely hard to coordinate and ship my orders efficiently. Extremely grateful to be part of the Intech Anchoring network!

We used Jack with Intech Anchoring Systems for guy wire anchors and micropiles. He was a pleasure to work with and was very attentive to our scheduling needs also the materials provided did exactly what was expected of them. We will use them again in the future.

The world of structural engineering can be really intimidating and hard to get a grasp of, Intech helps us simplify it. Whether that be direct communication, webinars, or emails, it always seems to work out for both sides when we work together.

Intech Anchoring has made each helical pile project that we have been involved with success for each project’s owner and us. Intech Anchoring’s engineers provide project estimates quickly and have the experience to offer recommendations, when needed, to economize the foundation design to save the Owner time and money. Their engineers are also readily available during the testing and installation of the helical piles to provide technical assistance if required.

The training classes offered at Intech Anchoring’s office to be a certified installer have been very informative and well instructed, with demonstrations of actual helical pile installations. We have enjoyed our association with Intech Anchoring over the years and look forward to working with Intech Anchoring in the future.
