Resistance Equipment: Hydraulic Systems for Resistance Pier Installation
RENT RESISTANCE PIER EQUIPMENT
Complete Hydraulic Kits, Ready To Install
Intech Anchoring Systems stocks 2875 and 3500 resistance tooling kits rated to 10,000 psi, available to rent or purchase. Each kit arrives with the cylinder, pump, lift heads, guide tooling, and hydraulic components a crew needs to drive and lock piers, so nothing has to be sourced separately before the truck leaves.
Resistance pier work is a repair trade, which means the call often comes in ahead of the equipment budget. Renting a complete kit lets a foundation contractor take on underpinning and structural lift jobs without carrying hydraulics that sit idle between projects. Installation training is available for crews adding resistance piers to their service line.
Resistance Pier Installation Kits
Hydraulic drive and lift systems for 2.875″ and 3.5″ resistance material, rated to 10,000 psi, with optional manifold lifting for up to five pier locations at once.
Resistance piers work by driving sections to refusal against the weight of the structure itself, then transferring load through a bracket at the footing. Everything depends on the hydraulics. The cylinder has to generate enough force to reach load-bearing strata, the gauge assembly has to read accurately enough to document drive pressure, and the lift system has to raise the structure in a controlled way without cracking what you are trying to save.
Our kits are built around that sequence rather than assembled from general hydraulic stock. Tooling ships matched to your resistance material size, the drive stand and guide tools keep sections aligned through the drive, and the lift heads load and lock the pier once refusal is reached. Full component detail is in the resistance equipment catalog.
Intech has supplied foundation repair contractors since 1998. Our team and business development managers can walk through pier spacing, expected drive depths, and lift configuration before you reserve a kit, and every rental unit is available for purchase when the work justifies owning one.
2875 Resistance Tooling Kit
Hydraulic Drive & Lift Package for 2.875″ Resistance Material
Overview
| Material Size | 2.875″ resistance pier material |
| Cylinder Rating | 10,000 psi |
| Power Unit | Gas-powered hydraulic pump |
| Ram | 25-ton |
| Hydraulics | All hoses, gauges, and valves included |
| Availability | Rental or purchase |
| Applications | Residential underpinning, settlement correction, structural lift |
Kit Notes
- Matched tooling: Drive tools, guide tools, and drive stand sized to 2.875″ material
- Documented drive: Gauge assembly reads drive pressure for load records
- Common sizing: The typical choice for residential foundation repair loads
3500 Resistance Tooling Kit
Higher Capacity Package for 3.5″ Resistance Material
Overview
| Material Size | 3.5″ resistance pier material |
| Cylinder Rating | 10,000 psi |
| Power Unit | Gas-powered hydraulic pump |
| Ram | 25-ton |
| Hydraulics | All hoses, gauges, and valves included |
| Availability | Rental or purchase |
| Applications | Heavier structural loads, commercial underpinning, deeper drives |
Kit Notes
- Larger section: Heavier wall material for higher capacity requirements
- Same hydraulics: Cylinder and pump package matches the 2875 kit
- Deeper refusal: Suited to sites where competent strata sits well below grade
Manifold Lift System
Simultaneous Lifting Across Multiple Pier Locations
Overview
| Configuration | Optional add-on to either tooling kit |
| Lift Capacity | Up to five resistance pier locations at once |
| Control | Remote hand valve |
| Benefit | Coordinated lift across a footing rather than pier by pier |
| Availability | Rental or purchase |
Why It Matters
- Controlled recovery: Lifting several points together reduces the risk of cracking during structural lift
- Faster production: Cuts installation time on multi-pier repairs considerably
- Fewer resets: One coordinated cycle instead of repositioning hydraulics at every location
